Who we are
LevantVows, based in Beirut, Lebanon, is the data controller for the personal data processed through this website. For any question or request about your data, write to levantvows@gmail.com. If you are in the European Union or EEA, we apply the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to your data.
Information you share with us
When you send an inquiry through the form on this site, we store the details you provide — your name, a contact detail (phone or email), your wedding date, and your message — securely in our database, and a copy is emailed to our team so we can reply quickly. We use them only to answer you and organise your project (steps taken at your request before entering a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We contact you back solely about this inquiry, on the contact detail you gave — never for cold calling, newsletters, or any other marketing without your separate consent — and we stop the moment you ask. If you contact us on WhatsApp, Instagram, or by email instead, your message stays within that service under its own privacy policy. We never sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where your inquiry came from
To understand which channels bring couples to us, an inquiry also records how you arrived on the site that day: the referring website (for example a search engine, a social network, or an AI assistant), any campaign tags in the link you followed, and the page you landed on (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). This is a single arrival label kept with your inquiry — never your browsing history — and the temporary note in your browser that carries it is deleted when the tab closes.
Guest RSVP responses
When we host a couple's wedding website, guests can RSVP with their name, attendance, party size, meal choice, and optional notes (such as dietary needs). These answers are processed on the couple's behalf, are visible only to that couple through their private dashboard (and to our team for support), and are never used for any other purpose. Responses submitted on the public demo pages are deleted automatically within 48 hours. In free-text fields, please share only what you are comfortable sharing.
Analytics, cookies & local storage
This site uses privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics with no cookies and no advertising trackers, and it honours your browser's Do-Not-Track setting. We record anonymous, aggregate counts only: page views, visits, device type, country-level region, and the channel a visit arrived from (search, social, AI assistant, campaign, or direct). To count unique visitors without cookies, a salted, daily-rotating hash of your IP address and browser type is kept for up to 48 hours and then deleted — your raw IP address is never stored. The site keeps a few first-party values in your browser only: your language choice, an anonymous “seen before” flag, and per-tab visit and arrival markers; none contains an identifier and nothing follows you across other sites.
Hosting, recipients & transfers
Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services in the European Union (Paris region); the site is delivered through Amazon's global content network, and our inquiry alerts are sent through Amazon's email service. The only people who can read your details are the LevantVows team, who handle inquiries from Lebanon under the safeguards described in this policy. We share personal data with no one else, and never for advertising.
Data retention
Inquiries are kept while we are in touch and at most 24 months after our last exchange — or, if you become a client, for the duration of your project — then deleted. You can ask us to delete an inquiry earlier at any time. Wedding-site RSVP responses are kept for the couple until after the celebration and deleted at their request; demo responses self-delete within 48 hours. Analytics hold anonymous aggregates only: the daily detail deletes itself after 90 days, and no personal data is retained in them at all.
Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to, correction or deletion of, or a portable copy of your data, ask us to restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw any consent — write to levantvows@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. We make no automated decisions and build no profiles. If you are in the EU/EEA and believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority (for example the CNIL in France).
